Song writing, song and instrumental arranging. I will oversee the entire recording process, From selecting material to final post-production, ensuring a project meets artistic goals and it’s captured in a hybrid but very organic way, mixing analog tracking techniques with digital editing and other time tested techniques. To my ears, most modern heavy recordings have been leaning too heavily on popular, hyper-polished and trendy techniques, I’m still very rooted on sounds of more organic epochs and releases, which is my signature of sorts.
Recording
Recording engineer services include technical and creative support for music, voice-over, podcast and audio for picture recordings, encompassing tasks like setting up equipment, recording audio and managing storage mediums and backups. I favor an old school approach to tracking, printing all and any tones and ideas straight to media as we move along. We can use your tracking room of choice or one of my usual pro recording studios near you.
Mixing/Mastering
My Mixing and mastering engineer services are professional audio services that refine music to a polished, final media ready state. Mixing involves balancing individual tracks, adding effects like EQ and compression, and creating a cohesive arrangement. Mastering is the final stage, preparing the mixed track for distribution by ensuring consistent audio quality across different platforms and optimizing it for streaming, digital, and potentially vinyl/tape release. In this stage I rely heavily on my hybrid setup: great modern a/d/a conversion combined with classic sounding analog outboard and three decades of experience mixing high impact audio.
